My, what a blow to humankind

June 24, 2022

Will forever

Go down in Infamy

Our own U.S. government

Federal, of all the nobility

Attacked more than 51%

Americans

Yes, Americans

Many that felt that tragedy

Felt the end of the world

This will be trauma to so many

Unthinkable suicide attempts

Has the Supreme Court

Gone mad

Or lost its sense of balance

When 3 unqualified 

Candidates for SCOTUS

The highest honor

Were appointed

By a rogue man

With a fake personality

I won't say his name

For fear I'll  vomit

He has a rat in his brain

And it is eating it away

So why?

Because he lied

Said the wise blind man

So while the women

Were dancing, deciding

Driving, doodling

Ordering, Observing

Planning, playtime

A missle of shock

And devestation struck

No more Roe

To protect us 

Was the cry

But Roe NEVER DIED

WE WILL MARCH

WE WILL FIGHT

SUPREME COURT

JUST YOU WAIT

A TSUNAMI

IS

ABOUT

TO BREAK

FORTH

JUSTICE WILL PREVAIL 

AMEN

And now that

We rallied

Screamed

Cried

Hugged

Cursed SCOTUS

The blow

Will bounce back

Reverberate

Sending waves of energy

That will forever embolden 

The Spirits

It will expand our lungs

So that we can send

Airwaves of energy

Across the nation...

...so the healing process begins

The dire health consequences of the recent Roe decision

This is a continuation of my last blog. The decision of the 5 to 4 Roe vs Wade decision was made in January of 1973. I was a teenager, restless and easily distracted, and was aware of the decision, but felt at the time a topic unrelated to my day to day life... ...as long as I minded my p's and q's... ..which I  did. My fellow church mates at the local Baptist church never brought up the topic. Perhaps too egregious of a discussion to be brought up in Sunday School. In the later years, abortion became a very hot topic. Anti-abortion protests erupted. Abortion doctors were murdered and death threats to healthcare providers were prevalent.  Even if l felt sad or angry of a child being yanked away from natural life l failed to realize at the time the dire and devastating consequnce of an unwanted pregnancies that women face. I fully acknowledge that some of those who don't feel that transgender kids playing with girls is appropriate. First of all my question is, what context of sports are they addressing? We - l mean boys and girls - played kickball during recess while l was in elementary school. Ditto dodgeball. How far do these anti-trans legislators want to go? Do they want to separate the boys and girls during recess time, leaving trans kids out? Do you see how unnecessary (and unrealistically ridiculous) this legislation is?
